And then I got my first sale!
First base was not easy to land on as you know. But once you get there, it becomes much easier to understand how you achieved that sale as you look back. Next, you focus on that technique.

I am going to share with you what became obvious to me during my first 60 days of "affiliate pain" before making my first sale - I am sure you will relate to the following long story I have to tell.
I took the time and risk of purchasing all types of hype from the so called "experts". I have finally ended up with tools and proven services that actually make sales.
The point of this website is to share my real experiences and steps to success with all of you. And, that has become my "niche" so to speak. I want to help you avoid all the pitfalls and expenses that many affiliates face. These so called "Gurus / Experts" lure vulnerable, hard working or out-of-a-job people like us into buying their re-packaged wares and services hoping for a new way to make an honest living.
Any business start-up can be extremely difficult. Most people are not risk takers and have a hard time spending money today, to make money down the road. Most humans (myself included) need instant gratification. That is why many of us fall for and buy into the "make money within 7 days" or "earn cash overnight" headlines.
But, should you persist and endure, you join the part of the world that actually makes money on the internet. That is why I learned to love this business - I realized that many will quit, leaving us with less competition. |

Here are some questions that might be swirling in your mind... 1) Why is it that the "GURUS" never reveal actual examples of their products, landing pages and affiliate product websites that they supposedly built and are so successful with? Maybe the real examples are only the pages we land on and suckered into buying their stuff?
2) Did you ever buy a CD, Video or PDF that showed you exactly what the PROS were doing with their products in real life practice, step by step?
2) Did the GURU ever reveal that REAL actual product they sell from CLICKBANK, etc? What are the names of those products that they are experts at selling?
3) Where are exact samples of "live" GOOGLE ad word campaigns so I could see how they, the GURUS, were "beating GOOGLE ad words" and getting tons of traffic? Why don't they show us their past or present successful campaigns?
4) Did I ever get to see a real, live published e-zine article, blog, Squidoo lens, etc. that was pulling in heavy traffic to a site made by the experts who ask for money to give me their advice? No way! I bought several of these manuals, videos and services and they turned out to be the same old thing over and over - all said and done with different voices and headlines, slick videos, etc. All very abstract and non productive!
5) Why are the majority of the MARKETING GURUS simply trying to get you addicted to their services, lessons and products they up-sell you! Not one of them gives you a detailed recipe of their success. Everything is abstract - "how to" - not a real working step by step visual and clear model is ever shown.
How I found my "niche"...by accident!
With all those questions whirling in my mind, I became more and more furious at being exploited so many times when I was so vulnerable. I wanted to start and write forums and blogs to name and expose all the shams and websites that I spent so much time and money on. But then I thought, "Why don't I help people like me!" - turn the anger into positive energy. I was becoming an expert on what products and services were good and bad - that was worth something. I could help others get out of the affiliate loop of frustration.
A lot of clever online "GURU" marketers are taking advantage of our "fear in flying" - they know that once we become successful and learn to fly, they know that we won't need them anymore. Therefore, they keep us in the dark only giving small pieces of the puzzle at a time...

The clever, rich online "EXPERTS" are really experts in keeping us insecure and confused - that's how they make their money from us. We buy and fall for their "affiliate help" wares and services constantly seeking a cure. It is like the medical industry that promotes more and more drugs by creating the thought in our minds that we really need them when we don't - it's like a bad addiction. I call it the
"Affiliate Anxiety Addiction" ... they do not want us to get cured.
And yes, I had "Affiliate Anxiety Addition"... I failed to take control of my direction to get started. I just kept looking for and buying more cures in hope that it would accelerate my success. I fooled myself thinking that I was being productive when I was spinning wheels each day, every hour.

STEP#3 START DOING RESEARCH ON YOUR IDEAS, CONCEPTS...
Nobody ever told me what type of "niche" site I should build or type of products to sell or where I could find information about the "niches". How could I start writing articles easily with so much information in the depths of the internet. I got lost so many times wandering nowhere all day long. . And most of all what the heck was a "niche" - and how did I find one that was going to make me money.
